New Building Drop-Off / Pick-Up Procedures
Effective Sunday 3/5/2023
We are pleased to announce that our move to the new school building is now COMPLETE.
Going forward, ALL CLASSES will be held in the NEW BUILDING.
Classes will no longer be held in the original (masjid) building.
That being the case, please read the following updates regarding the revised traffic pattern and drop-off / pick-up rules, that go into effect on Sunday March 5th, 2023, for families dropping off and picking up their children from Jafaria School on Sundays.
ALL FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN GRADES 3 – 11
Once you enter the masjid complex off of Cedar Grove Lane, please proceed to drive straight ahead toward the back of the complex until you reach the new school building.
Jafaria School volunteers will be there to guide you to where you will line up your car to drop off your children at the curb.
Children should exit the vehicles on the passenger-side, where they can egress directly onto the curb. Volunteers will be on standby to guide the students toward the school building.
Parents may then proceed to follow the traffic flow and drive straight ahead to exit toward the front of the complex and exit back onto Cedar Grove Lane.
At pick-up time, all students grades 3 – 11 will be dismissed from the main masjid building as usual.
DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN PREK
Children in PreK will be dropped off and picked up from a separate door that leads directly into the classroom from the outside of the building.
Please refer to the enclosed map for the PreK entrance. Volunteers will be available to direct PreK families to classroom where they will drop off their child at the door.
If your PreK child is not comfortable being escorted by a volunteer, and would prefer to be escorted by a parent, you may either park in front of the main masjid building and escort your child through the masjid, and out the back, across the crosswalk to the new building.
Alternatively, you may park in front of the new school building to drop off your child and then return back to your car. Due to limited space, we ask that parents DO NOT remain parked in the school parking lot, as this is for 5-minute parking ONLY.
Please wait for a volunteer to control the traffic to allow you to cross into the building.
Families with children in PreK ONLY should continue to park in the front of the building and escort their children inside as usual.
DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP FOR FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 2ND GRADE
Children in Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade will be dropped off and picked up from the cafeteria door. Please refer to the accompanying map for the Cafeteria entrance. Volunteers will be available to direct 1st Grade through 2nd Grade families to the cafeteria entrance.
Pick up will also be from the cafeteria door. Please refer to the map below for the Cafeteria entrance. Volunteers will be available to direct 1st Grade through 2nd Grade families to the cafeteria entrance.
